No idea, sorry ! :-) 
I do not have the knowledge for that. However any Xawtv, Kwintv, zapping are 
working ok ! I mv the directory to another place and relinked to /dev/video0.

DVR is working fine as well !! As far as I understand it is based on Avifile 
librairies. I have been able to capture avi from a VHS without any frames 
lost in the process, playing it back on a old windows 95 P133....
I think the error has nothing to do with avifile. As Justin reported the 
right click may cause some trouble depending on the Qt version. I am running 
RH 7.1 and SDL1.17 (cause of troubles ????).

Let me describe a little further :
avifile -- > segmentation fault (core dumped)
avifile myfile.avi  --> get the gui interface for a second and then 
segmentation fault.

Idem for any other aviexec....
