I'm relatively testing teh avifile on both SMP and mono CPU machines.
So there shouldn't be any such simple deadlock.
Maybe could you send me your test file - it'll rather stay somewhere
inside some avi reconstruction and will be doing some busy-loop - thus
renderer will be waiting for condition.

Hmm but I'll have to check the Nvidia support - there
has been lately added some support for XV_attrs modification
and this was not working properly with non-CVS SDL

Yeah - this is the problem:
What is the version of your graphics XFree server
(are you using the latest available ?)
Kernel, Graphics card hw ?
Are you able to see the same problem with current CVS avifile ?
