Actually I'm thinking about writing an application which generates pictures,
and then saves an avi movie of them as output. Now beforehand I would need
to know if the output picture quality will depend on the avi-library...

Maybe my question didn't make sense at all, so I rephrase:
Isn't it so that I just take my generated pictures, hand them to some codec
(f.e. DivX) and hand the result to an avi-saving library (like yours)?

If it is so, then the resulting picture quality should only depend on the codec,
and not the avi-library, should it?

Mario

PS: Thanx for the quick answer.
