Title: Just as a note dcumentation regarding ASF format is just outdated. Link included...

On the project homepage there is sadly no contact email I am not really working with avifile, but had some things to do with ASF files, so I stumbled over here. As no project participant email is available, I am posting this here.

On your project homepage you have the ASF 2.0 publication (draft) and a (sadly totally wrong in critical cases) reconstruction of the ASF 1.0 file format J It works, but try making more with it.

Now, here some nice little link for you it links to a self extracting executable (phew well, ms) including a word document (ok, you have to get a reader here maybe a criend can convert it to acrobat?) that contains the public, current (version 1.13.00e) and correct specification available from Microsoft. Lots of little differences. And well it is written pretty understandable:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/WM7/format/asfspec11300e.asp

Maybe you find it useful to clean up some code of yours. I got the link from a friend when complaining about the non-existing support for handling certain things with ASF files and telling him that I NEED the specs I was pretty surprised to get a link back that points to a public location J

Anyhow, I am up to the task now to throw away the code I made trying to get around with your partial spec and am redoing my work.
