Please check current CVS - the networking code is going through
some minor revolution and there has been numerous fixes and improvments
during this week.
If you still see any hangs let me know.
Also you should know than native mms streams (to port 1755) are
not yet supported by avifile - you could either download
file localy via mms_client or use xine or mplayer -
I think avifile will support this as well in the near future...
