Hmm maybe google has showed something - but these people never reported
this here on the list.
Indeo codecs does work for me without any problem.
You should see something like this:
<codec keeper> : Found 12 plugins (/var/tmp/avi6/lib/avifile0.7,A:37,V:80)
<Win32 plugin> : Using Win32 dll library: ir50_32.dll
<Win32 video decoder> : Decoder is capable of YUV output ( flags 0x187)
<codec keeper> : Indeo(r) Video 5.04 video decoder created
<renderer> : SDL video driver: x11

It really looks like you are missing win32 plugin - could you send
your config.log and log of your configure ?
In the CVS I've put back CANONICAL_HOST - as this is needed
to properly detect i386 on the older boxes - so please check CVS
(or wait for 33 snapshot)
