DVD rips :)
I'm capturing rather rarely - and lately I've checked mencoder and
it also looks like a workable tool developed by far more developers
thus people might be happy with that one as well so currently
tha avicap isn't my top most wanted thing to spend time with...

Good idea - however I've not really left the forum - exept mail server
from users.sf.net stopped to resend my emails from avifile list
(not really sure why this happend) anyway now I'm using differnet
mail address and it works again - so I'm sure there were no reaction
from my side for some time (actually I've though that people has stoped
to use avifile completely already as no mails were comming to me :)

Hmm strange, there were some changes made to the avicap engine by some
other developer (he added some code, so avicap could switch channels itself
without the need of v4ctl tool) and it will have to be examind as I guess
I've also noticed at least one some weird channel switch made by avicap itself.
