Hi folks, I'd like to inform Avocado-VT users, that we're updating the JeOS 23 image file. The goal is to improve compatibility with older QEMU versions. There are *no* changes within the guest image, only in the Qcow2 version.
If you're interested in a longer explanation, here it is: the JeOS 23 image was created on a Fedora 23 host machine, which will create Qcow2 images with compatibility level set at "1.1". This prevents older, but still relevant platforms to use that image AS IS. Users will notice that, during an interactive run of "avocado vt-bootstrap", the following prompt will appear: 6 - Verifying (and possibly downloading) guest image Verifying expected SHA1 sum from http://assets-avocadoproject.rhcloud.com/static/SHA1SUM_JEOS23 Expected SHA1 sum: f9c24d609c37ee96f4d53778dc7190cb05c38295 Found /usr/share/avocado/data/avocado-vt/images/jeos-23-64.qcow2.7z Actual SHA1 sum: b88d553e19736aa3ec61caa7653c5b30e6d4b59a The file seems corrupted or outdated. Would you like to download it? (y/n) By answering 'y', you should get the updated image without any other software update. If you have any questions, or find any issues, please let us know.
