The I/O pins are driven from the AVR's power supply, so it will never QUITE reach the voltage applied on the VCC pin, and it will be less with a large load. Generally speaking, microcontroller I/O pins are not designed to drive much more than 1-2 mA For your 1.8V VCC, you might see 1.8V or slightly less. > Am correct in believing there is a inbuilt oscillator, can this oscillator > be controlled/reduced so that I can get a better power efficiency, or do I > need to get a external oscillator and assign it a I/O pin. There is an internal RC at 1 MHz, you can apply external clock or crystal/resonator to the X1 and X2 pins > Thank You > > > Yours Sincerely > > Dharmesh Joshi > _______________________________________________ > AVR-chat mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/avr-chat > > _______________________________________________ AVR-chat mailing list [email protected] http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/avr-chat
