As a pure programmer i would suggest USB-Prog as a AVRISP mk2 Clone for 22
Euro + shipping. 

 

It is a univeral tool via firmware exchanging (for exp. If you want to
expand to ARM7/9 uC) so you do not have any dead money after you will have
bought a dragon.

The JTAGICE mk2 is under development but it looks like it will take much
more time. Therefore I bought a dragon myself a year ago via ebay.
