This is AVRDUDE, I guess?  If so, which version?

As the FTDI bit-bang implementation is still fairly new to
AVRDUDE, it might be better to discuss that on the avrdude-dev
mailinglist, where I'm sure all the respective developers are
listening (I'm not so sure about the avr-chat list).  Also,
please submit a full -vvvv debug log so we can have a look what
is happening.
