Sorry for missing the June 4 target, but last week has been really
full here. I finally got around to fix all the outstanding malloc
bugs which have been reported, which was really my personal "must go
in" item for a new release.

I'll have another look at the bugs and patches tonight or tomorrow,
but otherwise, I'm ready for a release. If I'm not mistaken, we
agreed to call the next release 1.7.0, any objections?

Is there anything else someone feels that really has to be done before
a new release?
