BTW, what is the latest AVR Libc release? The project's page at
Savannah [1] refers to 1.7.1 in the news, while the downloads
page has 1.8.0, and I seem to find only a couple mentions of the
latter in this mailing list's archive.
(Not to mention the project's page at Freecode [2], which
apparently hasn't seen any attention since 2005. Is there any
chance for it to become maintained again, BTW?)
