I'm not very thrilled about the idea of the environment
variable override. I'd like to invite you to join the
developers mailing list, so we can discuss your ideas
there, and think about possible solutions.
Normally, the idea was that the user could leave his most
preferred programmer type and port in ~/.avrduderc.
