Details:

I just wrote a stk500v2 protocol for my own use.  After some debugging and a
peek at the avrdude code, I find the following comment in sk500v2.c - "We set
bit 6 to indicate this is the very
last page to be programmed, whatever this means -- we just pretend
we don't know any better. ;-)"

The avrdude code sets bit 6 to '1' always...

I was using bit 6 (which should be only set on the last page to be
programmed) to tell the programmer to re-enable the RWW block of
flash after this page is written - which I believe is it's intended
function.
