Follow-up Comment #3, bug #29636 (project avrdude):
While both devices should implement the PARAM_STATUS_TGT_CONN parameter, only
the STK600 lists the (new) CMD_CHECK_STATUS_TGT_CONN *command* - the
AVRISP-MKII does not. Does the AVRISP-MKII implement this command?
