You could drop your model in Prefab, and render the normal map.
the dot3 preview should show same artefact if mapping is unvalid.
meaning here the designers has a mistake in the geometry/uvmapping.
probably not unique.
if its correctly displayed, this means the normalmap sucks. You can
then use Prefab one's if correct.

3d designer-freelancer cant solve this problem for a couple weeks
