Also flash IS slow when the stage is resized... Maybe you could forbid the fullscreen?? Also try playing with hardware accel on flash publish settings, since it does use hardware acceleration to resize the stage when in full screen, but don't expect miracles of it, it'll still be far slower than when not in full-screen.
