Hi everyone,

great work on Broomstick! Starting to get into it now.

Before digging deep, my first experiments deal with importing animated
character models with material maps. It looks like the only way
currenlty is the MD2 and MD5 format. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

I used the Away3D MD5loader (hellknight) example that was included to
test my freshly exported MD5 mesh and animation. It shows up fine and
also animates correctly. The hellknight texture shows up on my model.

Here are my questions:

1. My imported MD5 model only works with the hellknight texture. When
I try to load my texture JPG in the MonsterController AS class, it
doesnt show up. Even when I replace the hellknight texture file with
my texture file and rename it to be the same, it still won't show up.
Actually it causes the entire model not to show up anymore and crashes
FF.

2. How can I export MD5 models from 3DS max that have more than 2 legs
or no bones at all?

3. Is there any other way to create animated models and load them into
broomstick with the texture and UV map?

Thanks,
Sven

I have been playing around with MD5 exports from 3DS with der_toms
exporter but it has proven to be a pain. I used the Away3D MD5loader
(hellknight) example that was included to load my exported MD5 mesh
and animation which worked.,

I can only export meshes that have bones and are biped.

I can load the MD5 model I created and its MD5 animation

I cannot figure out how to export animals with 4 legs or vehicles.

I'm able to load the
