FS#772 - Window flickering and visual artifacts with 3.4.5 User who did this - Stjujsckij Nickolaj (krigstask) ---------- Thank you, Julien, I should work it out myself (-:E I've found a cause of my problem. After unsuccessful `bisect`ing and seeing that % git checkout v3.4.5 % make clean && make produces quite a usable artifactless binary , I suspected that my Portage settings are to blame (since it compiles everything for me, and with non-default settings). After a couple of re-emerges I found that awesome built with GCC graphite optimizations (CFLAGS="-floop-interchange -floop-strip-mine -floop-block") produces artifacts and flickering, while built with common (at least in Gentoo) CFLAGS="-march=native -O2 -pipe" works fine. But since 3.4.4 behaved well even when graphite-optimized, I'm going to re-bisect and find that particular changeset. I suspect that you could say 'Ricering! WONTFIX', but probably it'd be easy to fix (-:E Meanwhile I'll enjoy awesome 3.4.5 without flickering! ---------- More information can be found at the following URL: http://awesome.naquadah.org/bugs/index.php?do=details&task_id=772#comment2018 You are receiving this message because you have requested it from the Flyspray bugtracking system.
