FS#1221 - Handle "urgent" for clients with skip_taskbar User who did this - Daniel Hahler (blueyed) ---------- I don't know how others handle it, but can only say what a user / I would expect: the urgency flag is meant to indicate that immediate user action is requested (http://standards.freedesktop.org/wm-spec/wm-spec-latest.html#URGENCY), and therefore an indication should get displayed. With the tags list, the urgency gets indicated, but with the tasklist it won't. I consider this an oversight/bug with the tasklist, because it only loops over windows without skip_taskbar. > dwm doesn't support EWMH and thus ignores the skip_taskbar state Does this mean, that the urgency gets displayed in its tasklist (if there is one)? TEST CASE: 1. Open gvim and another client on the same tag 2. in Vim: ":sleep 3 | call inputdialog("foo") 3. switch to the other client The popup will appear, but there is no indication in the tasklist. (especially with the gvim client not being visible, an indication would be useful) ---------- More information can be found at the following URL: https://awesome.naquadah.org/bugs/index.php?do=details&task_id=1221#comment3864 You are receiving this message because you have requested it from the Flyspray bugtracking system.
