Hi

I work as a system administrator at a Computer Science department and I'm
currently doing a major overhaul on our SunRay thin client system. One
of the things i would like to make availible on the new system is
Awesome (probably only myself is going to use it, but still). The window
manager itself works without problems but the wibar and menus seems to
suffer from major visual corruption [1] making Awesome a lot less
awesome to use.

The Xserver used by the SunRay system is a modified version of Xorg
called Xnewt. I have Awesome 3.2 installed on an up-to-date Gentoo
server. Output of xdpyinfo is included below (don't know if it's relevant?).

Does anyone have any idea about how to fix this, or at least where to
look to get an idea about what's going on?

Please let me know if you need any more information :)

Regards
Truls Asheim
