I did something similar in 2.5 SP3 MP;
Apparently without problems when posting the new journals created.

I created a new ledgerjournal type and
inserted it into ledgerjournaltable form, when hit "Lines" button,
it gave into a simplified form of the general ledger journal trans (sorry,
now I Can't remember the name).
