Hello, I am trying to set up a periodic journal in G/L. According to the manual, I should be able to do that by saving an existing journal from Journal Voucher screen by pressing Periodic Journal button. After I choose Save Journal, Save Journal as Periodic Journal screen opens up. I provide a name in Period Journal field and click OK. I receive a warning "Journal name ..... doesn't exist" and doesn't go anywhere from here. I am trying to create that journal, so the message is accurate, it doesn't exist yet, but it doesn't get created no matter what I do.
