Not
sure if you got it 100%, you can setup Axapta so that a email message is sent to
the user informing them of the new user account (mainly for web apps I
guess)
You
setup the text of the email message in axapta and you can setup different
versions of this text for each language code (bit like the notes on
forms)
So
when you create a new user the language you select is just to determine the text
of the email that will be sent to the user
When
they login etc the appl language is based on the config step up as you
mention.
Thats
how I understand the answers Jim and the others have given, anyone please
correct me if I have misunderstood.
One
query of interest I have because I have had no real time to play with the web
apps etc, is if a new user signs up to get into the 'portal' can they
select a language to be used (I guess so) BUT this language will apply to both
the appl and data (i.e. this is different to normal windows client where appl is
controlled by config setting and data by custoemr/vendors master
setting)?

Do you mean configuration on Axapta Configuration Utility?
Isn't it affect to the whole login to one particular
workstation, is it?
