Are you sure you can only save in WMF format, when demo version allows to do it into BMP files?? re-check the ActiveX interface...
Yes, Image class in Axapta allows to manage images in clipboard. You can save into or retrieve from it.
The other possibilities should be considered as last resources. The two ones are the most suitable ones.
