Sync will prompt you to delete when

  1. if u set the temp property to ‘yes’ , sync is run automatically and if there is any data then user is asked if he wants to delete the table.
  2. When you disable configuration key, if a table has become redundant and there is a data in it, Axapta will ask if you want to delete the table.
  3. If u change the aod file and the new aod file (say axvar.aod) does not have a particular table definition then Axapta will ask you to confirm the delete (if there is a data).

None of the scenarios would be applicable for the user who posted the original message:

Enabling configuration keys has enabled some index on his tables and it’s a screw up with the unique keys.

I would bet on InventDim table, this is a big time nightmare for every new Axpata consultant.

Hi Harry,

I don't know if its new functionality of Axapta. I am using Ax3.0 with SP3. Whenever we used to put more licensing keys ( or modules ), we used to run the DB synch ( / check ) so that we can get a report of what tables that are out of sync. These tables may be out of sync due to my customizations. So I Used to take the back up of those , sync ( pompts you to delete ) , get the original table and reimport back your customizations.

Please correct me if there is another way......This is more a admin job , not our tech job.

thanks,

subbu

Hi subbu!

  1. Take the back up of those two tables. It will prompt you delete those two table in order to have a succesful synchronization. you can click on OK .

** is this a new functionality in Axapta? How do I activate table delete from sync? Do let me know the steps for setting this up.

Regards
