I assume that you talk about a private hotfix, otherwise it will have a full test, at least these done by Axapta SE ;-)

A hot fix is a single fixe that address a specific problem or bug encountered by a customer. These fixes are developed quickly, often within a matter of days, and often do not receive the level of testing accorded to products or service packs.
