Hi Sorry about that. Its not a bug
Next thing to check is the negative days and positive days. What is the date of the order that you are exploding? What is the date on which the purchase order is scheduled and what are ur positive days settings. Axapta master planning is amazing but it can be a bit of a pain with so many parameters. Now change the line type to item and see if it creates a purchase order considering the stock in hand. I think what u are talking about is a bug (feature) in standard axapta Regards harsh From: ssb axapta [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, 20 January 2005 2:56 p.m. To: Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com Subject: RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] MRP - Customization I have shared Items which are used across sites. ** what exactly is this? How did u share the items. *** I m not talking in terms of Axapta. The users have shared items. It will be stored in both the sites (say for eg,two diff wh). When planning is run for a specific site,it shd consider only the WH which belongs to the specific site.Only in case of shared items,it shd see across sites(ie two diff wh) .Hope it is clear. As far as I know,RLS works only on forms n reports. ** I would have thought RSL works everywhere. Have u tested this? *** No it doesnt.I ahve tested it.It works only on "VISIBLE" data. I have setup coverage by wh and i have stock for BOM Line item with 3 different batches(one without batch). For the FG item,I have a sales forecast. So when it explodes, the MRP doesnt consider teh stock available for the input item. :( It just creats a PO for the FC Qty. :(( Trying to see where the problem is . :)) ** can u restate ur question, bit confused as to the sales forecast part? You have stock on hand at three batches and MRP does not consider the stock available. Now is batch a physical inventory and / or financial inventory? Is ‘coverage plan by dimension’ selected for batch number? First step would be to create stock on hand without batch number and then see if MRP is considering this stock *** this is the scenario item A | B Sales FC for Item A - 100 stock for Item B -- B1 => 10 B2 ==> 10 No Batch => 20 Now when I run MRP,It creates po for B for 100 Qty not for 60. clear? I ran Mrp with both options .with & without coverage by batch .Nothing works.I am in thsi MRP for so long..I worked it other ERP packages..I have never seen such a weired output till now. :( Axapta is surprising.. :)) Regards harsh Harry Deshpande Senior Consultant CGNZ Middle Market Solutions Website: www.cgnz.com/middlemarketsolutions Ph +64 29 277 5133 Fax +64 9 358 1018 CGNZ Limited and its predecessor organisations (Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, and Ernst & Young Consulting) have a proud track record of market leadership and excellent service delivery in all areas of systems delivery both for New Zealand clients and in supporting regional and global projects.
