Hi ...

Thanks for the info.. :)

now I am trying to check the batch expiry date while
planning.

ie DONT CONSIDER THE EXPIRED BATCHES WHILE PLANNING..

It is not there in Axapta. So customization is needed.
:)

Hi

The positive days and negative days can be setup at
multiple locations.

You may have tried it on the wrong place.

When you are testing, just over ride the time fence on
master plan, that’s what it is for..to make sure
that the master plan time fences are considered no
matter what the item setup is.

If today you change the positive days back to 7 (in
the master plan time fences), it is not going to work.
(however if you do it tomorrow it may work)

Incidentally production certification exam asks u this
question, what are the time fences on master plan for

What are ur customisations by the way?

:) But now atlast the problem was on the filtering
!!!!!

mm..now going thru all the classes of Axapta ....

Hi

Of course yes!

The master plan will work 100% only if you run it
without any range on the items (or all the items from
finished goods to the last components).

Anyway, I guess I can go home now *s*

To share my experience with you

Axapta master planning is amazing. The only problem is
understanding the functionality. The classes behind
master planning are absolutely flexible (same goes for
production scheduling, inventmovement, inventupdate
etc), it’s a fucking plain to understand these
classes but once you know them then life becomes very
easy *s*

I hope you have understood the concept of positive
days and negative days?

hi

it works atlast !!!!!

with one small adjustment.. (idiotic But !)

Run the master plan with Item-a,Item-B.

then it explodes correctly..

But this cant work fine since I will have so many
levels in BOM in real time !!!!!!

Hi

Hm… that’s interesting.

Now can you again run MRP and check if the planned
order of 55 is being changed again to 100?

Harry...

Now it works in a strange way !!!!

I ran MRP ,and checked the results. It created PO for
100,Didnt consider the stock.Then I went to Inquiry -
Requirement Profile - Update from Planned order
screen. Now the order Qty is changed to 55 considering
the stock !

I m lost completely !!!!!!!!!

For me ,the dynamic as well as static master plan is
the same.So I dont think I shd get different results
when I do a 'update'

Harry Deshpande <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

Hi

What u are looking at is a Dynamic plan and not static
plan may be that’s why you have to click on
update. But that has got nothing to do with ur current
problem.

Now your planned date is 28/01 and todays date is
20/01 however your positive days are 7 days.

May be that is why your MRP is not considering on
hand.

Go to the master plan , click override positiver days
and put positive days as 30 and send me the screen
shot again.

This is a setup issue and not a bug.

check out this attachement.I am taking this from Item
- Inquiry - net Reqmts.There is a catch heer.When I
run MRP and check this screen,it doesnt show onhand
.When I click "update"here in the screen ,then it adds
the onhand line.So that means,on hand is NOT
considered while running MRP.is it ? mmmm.. :)

Hi

Also send me the screen shot on the net requirements
screen but make sure the ‘setup’ tab is
displayed on the header.
