Good point !

I did not think that way due to the fact that in my mind it's 2 month's
since SP4 was finished :-)

I'll do some research on the HRM issue that you point out first thing
tomorrow morning

Best

Steen

My comment was a rather objective one stating that no customers will have
had time to both upgrade & evaluate it at this point -- it's simply too
early to tell.

Now, previous service packs were also "heavily tested", but that still
didn't prevent issues from slipping through the cracks. For example, there
is a known issue with HRM -- data has to be deleted to complete the upgrade,
if you do not have HRM III, which can substantially lengthen the upgrade
process.

Conclusion remains that upgrading is still a multi-step process:

    1. Upgrade on a copy of the end-user's live environment

    2. Test it

    3. Let the end-user test it

    4. When the end-user approves, take it live

And that, heavily tested or not, is next-to-impossible to accomplish in a
mere 5 days without slacking somewhere, unless there are no customizations
to the end-user installation.

Hi Jesper!

Well SP4 has been heavily tested - especially upgrading!

If you have any comments on the upgrade - please let me know.

I think it may be a little too premature to assess SP4 in a live
environment, as it was released on May 19, and unless you have an Axapta
installation with pretty much no customizations and the will to charge at it
without planning, nobody will be up and running on SP4 yet.

Check back in 3-4 weeks, and maybe the early adopters will be up & running.

Hi,

Has anyone upgraded to SP4 in a live environment?? Is there anything that I
need to be aware of when I upgrade??

Kind Regards

Craig
