Brandon,

I did something similar but it was to Great Plains. We have a website that pays sales tax to 7 states. The tax is computed outside of Great Plains and then the transaction including the sales tax is imported into Great Plains.

I just wrote a sales tax engine (in C#) that is called by the web app, write the tax out to a sales tax journal for reporting purposes and finally import the whole transaction into Great Plains.

The rates are obtained from CCH – a very inexpensive implementation compared to Vertex.

Subject: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Sales Tax

Hello All!

I am now working to integrate Sales Tax information into Axapta. Anyway, we are wanting to use some simple COM object / Database that will allow us to integrate Sales Tax into axapta. We only collect Sales Tax from 5 States, because a lot of our purchases are done via the Web.

I was wondering if anyone has or knows about a Sales Tax COM object / Software that could be used? Can anyone recommend a Sales Tax Solution?

thanks,

Brandon
