When sharing the inventtable, you may or may not want to share the inventtablemodule table. This table has all the prices for the items. If you do not share this table, every time you add a new item in one company you will have to run a consistence check with fix, so that the inventtablemodule is populated. Again, the inventtablemodule holds the prices, as in our case, the sales prices of the items were different in the different companies... so the customer opted not to share this table and a consistency check needs to be run every time a new item is created.
