Hi,
 
Can anyone explain why in my debugger will work the first time I run through some code with a breakpoint but the nexttime I run the same code the Ax client stops (i.e. waiting for debug) but it does not switch to the debug window that is already open and when I manual switch to the debug window it is not 'active' (i.e. there is nothing there to debug, rathr it is just showing the last debug session that was completed).
 
I have to close the debug window and then it says 'invalid version of debugger' but the version I have checked and is correct.
 
For simple jobs like print hello  it works fine however many times I run but if I have a job that uses something like inventonhand() it does this strange thing....
 
I have turned off the XP firewall, I am not runnig office 2003 (just 2000).
 
Lately I upgrade to XP, is there something in XP causing this?  I am using Ax3.0 SP3

I have seen this problem happen if there is a local (personal) firewall installed on the machine that prevents Axapta from communicating with the debugger.
 
Are you running Kerio, Norton, BlackICE, or some other (XP SP2?) firewall on your machine?  Check to see if it should be blocking the Axapta debugger TCP/IP port.

Does anyone face this problem?

Everything was fine with my Axapta installation till some time back.

Now, whever I go into debugger, the screen is empty and and error message is thrown that wrong version of debugger exists on my computer. I log out of axapta , log back in again and then I can get into the debugger. I try getting into the debug mode again and again the error message comes up. Any ideas?

I think this has something to do with an office update that I installed on my machine a month back.
