Its better for me to raise a new PO thru SO and see how does it go. Meanwhile if u feel some other setup needs to be check, do hunt me down.

Hi, nihar

I think your setting is right..  If you create PO from SO and your PO is not Packing Slip yet then u update SO through Picking List Registration, a message error will occur (see my previous attachement) but if your PO has been Packing Slip (the stock has received on warehouse) then you update Picking List Registration, a message will not occur since the stock is available on the warehouse

I still stick to what i had written in the earlier mail. If i have a PO raised for a specific SO, the issue of Stock In Hand should not arise. On the other hand, even though i have received the required stock thru the PO why cant i Picking List Registration Update the SO..
 
Am i missing some logic in raising a PO thru SO and Invoice updating the PO. What r the things that i need to check?

Please check your Stock on Hand. I think your stock is empty when u want to update stock through Picking List Registration. (Please check your stock on hand using Inventory Dimension as used on Picking List Registration)

I did check the Reservation for SO line. The Reservation field was blank. But the Order Reserved field showed that the quantity was alreay reserved!!

Hi Nihar,
 
Are you sure you give check to the Reserved ordered item checkbox when you create the purchase order thru sales order form? If not, then it will not be reserved for that sales order. Other sales order can pick and deliver the item.
 
In your sales order form, Lines -> Reservation. check whether that item has been reserved for that particular sales order line.

I received the number of unit thru PO.
 
Later i Updated the SO with Pick List.
But i when i Update the SO with 'Picking List Registration', in the Picking List Registration form i am not able to set the check box for 'Update' field at the line level. The message i get when 'Update'ing is, 'X number of units can not be picked as only 0.00 are availabel from the inventory'
 
Why is this error comming, since the item quantity is already reserved against the SO raised, as well as, the items have been received.
 
What setup am i missing.
