The second parameter in the purchFormletter.update method isn't used at all in the method. One way to solve this is to save the parameter in a class variable and later use it in the createParmTable method to initialize the PurchParmTable.Num field.

but when i go to PurchParmTable and see the Num field the number is not appearing there.
plz suggest something.
same thing is happening with packing slip also.
