Axapta automatically reserves the quantities in the BOM when the orde is started. Howver you can release the reservation manually at any time by checking on the reservations for the either the product the order or the individual quanitites of bom ingredients. Click on the Inventory tab to the right of the screen and then click on reservations. You should be able to reset the reserved quantity to zero after you post the picking list.
