Dear group I have AX 4.0 SP1 and SQL 2005. I have the standard cubes in the DMO company and when I am logged in as the primary Admin user I can view them fine, from both the normal XP client and from a client on the Terminal Server. When I log in as another user, on the same computer, I get the error:
"The components that are necessary to display data from SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services were not found. Contact your system administrator for assistance." I have all the recommended components installed: XML Services, OLE DB provider, SQL Server native client, Management Objects, and OWC11. I wonder if the message may be erroneous and the problem is in Analysis Services security settings - the setup instructions make many references to things that don't appear to exist in SSAS 2005, e.g.: - "OLAP Administrator" role - there are no roles? - the entire 12-point section on Database Permissions clearly relates to SSAS 2000, and there do not appear to be equivalent settings in 2005? Any suggestions folks? Hans
