Hello Jens, I have checked in AX3.0-SP3, AX3.0-SP4 as well as AX3.0-SP5, I encountered the same problem of security setting (as mentioned by you). But as a work around, the problem can be solved, if we first gave the full control accees to the PROD Menu to the parent and then remove the permission from the childs... where ever the same is not required / to be changed.
I think, there is no need to remove the securiy key from the PROD Menu, as it will create a problem. Problem that you encounter if you remove the security + configuration key --> Production menu will appear in main Menu window, even if you remove the production license. Hello Jens, You are perfectly right in this regard, that this is a bug, which is working fine in other Menu's e.g. (1) If we gave security permission to InventTable (Item master) and then switch to Main Menu presentation, system shows the Inventory Management Menu as activated, (2) If we gave security permission to VendTable (Vendor master) and then switch to Main Menu presentation, system shows the Accounts Payable Menu as activated While in case of Production order, if we gave permission and then switch to Main Menu presentation, system does not show Production Menu as activated. This is not working in case of Production order / Routes, but yes using work around, this can be solved as temporary alternate.
