Another option is part of the IEM IBI solution that can be bought separately, from To-Increase called Workflow. I have deployed and customized this at a few clients now and it works great. Integrates well with all Standard AX, plus email, Alerts, etc. etc. Can have complex approval chains for a given document, say OTC process? (AKA: Purchase Req. -> PO, etc. etc.)
