Hi accounting Gurus,
My customer received an invoice(Invoice date -
18/06/2006) and its due date of is 30 days from
invoice date(17/06/2006). But my customer pays him a
postdated cheque. So, when this is generated through
Payment journal under AP module, the date is current
date and cheque's paid date(in bank module) is going
with today's date and vendor account is getting closed
with current date. Is it the way to generate the
cheque? He can make the date of journal as the due
date..but my user wants a date of transacton or entry
date and due date on the transaction which is not
available in standard axapta.
Can any accountant explain the cycle of this postdated
cheque please.. The payment is happening thorugh
normal bridging post. Actually, the user handling the
bank module wants all his cheques journal through
"select bridging posting" on the particular due date.
In this case, the AP person should generate the cheque
by keeping the date as duedate rather than keeping his
entry date.. Can anyone help me on this business cycle
please ..

Regards,
GR.
