...but it works fine with 3.0. I defininitely have just one AX 3.0 client installed on a mapped server drive and some configuration files (exported as .xpo) located there. All users lauch 3.0 through an icon on their desktop using command: X:\Client\Bin\ax32.exe -regconfig=X:\RadosTEST.xpo
Also the AX Implementation Guide from the Microsoft Site declares -regconfig to be used "...from a command prompt when starting a client or an AOS instance" So it should work. Why doesn't it? Anyone else with rexperience regarding this issue? Maybe you should just start the axc file -- after installing AX4 client on your local machine . hth Tobias Andrae ________________________________ Von: Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com im Auftrag von [EMAIL PROTECTED] Gesendet: Mo 25.06.2007 17:42 An: Axapta-Knowledge-Village@yahoogroups.com Betreff: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Starting AX 4.0 through an Icon Hi, I would like to set up an installation for AX 4.0 having simply an Icon on the desktop of my client computers. It works fine with 3.0 sharing a client and a configuration file on a mapped drive. Now launching 4.0 the same way: Y:\40\Client\Bin\ax32.exe -regconfig=Y:\40\RadosTEST40.axc I get a crash at startup in kernel32.dll. Can someone help me?
