I have an urgent query regarding the cross-domain access of Dynamics AX 4.0
SP2. There are two Actice Directory domains - say AD1 and AD2. Now on one
computer Comp1 , AX 4.0 has been installed on AD2 domain on the following roles
:-
DB Server
Application
Object Server
Client
.Net Business Connector
This is the server setup. On another computer Comp2, the AX client has been
setup on AD2 domain and till this much its fine.
There is a 3rd computer Comp3 , which is on AD1 domain. It has administrator
rights on both Comp1 (which has AX server on AD2 domain) and Comp2 (AD2 domain
- AX Client connected to AOS on Comp1 on AD2 domain).
Now if someone installs AX client on Comp3 on AD1 domain, can he access the AX
4.0 AOS server on Comp 1 which is on a different domain (AD2)? Comp3 has admin
rights for both the other computers.
If not, is there any way we can leverage such a scenario of cross-domain access
of AX?
If anyone has any idea / solution / suggestion on this, please let me know at
the earliest as this is an urgent client requirement.
