Dear All,

Since the beginning of the Axapta Knowledge Village - May 22, 2004 -
the number of members has grown to +4100 today with an average of 200
messages a month. The amount of spam messages increased also
substantially. It seams there are still a lot of people that believe
they are allowed to disturb a professional group with non-related
material.

Although Yahoo groups is a perfect medium for group discussions
avoiding spam is hardly impossible due to the anonymity of a Yahoo
profile. The main rule of the Axapta Knowledge Village has been (and
will remain) to moderate messages of new members until they have
proven to be reliable.

I am running this group since 2004 in my spare time and as a result
new members will have noticed that it takes a while before their
messages are approved. Main reason is that it takes at least ten
minutes each day to filter out spam messages. New members sending in
spam - messages are immediately banned from the group.

To increase the quality of the Axapta Knowledge Village a more
reliable group environment is required. An online network - village -
where professionals can share information, participating members can
see who is online and who is posting a question, and what the level of
professionality is of co-members. Another objective of mine is to
share group-management responsibilities with other community-minded
members.

One of such network places is LinkedIn. You can now visit the
Microsoft Dynamics AX Knowledge Village

Have fun, the Axapta Knowledge Village team
