Yes, it's possible to do so, first of all you have to get either 2 or 3 groups
( e.g. 1- 2 - 3)
Path: // Admin - Setup - Security - record level Security
1- Chose group 1 - Click Next - show all tables - Chose Stock Management -
expand it - then look for item - mark it - Click Next - finish
In the main window of record level security a new group will be created.
Then go to query button and click it, then you have to specify which item
number should be shown to this group using (, or ! or ... and also *) (this
will makes you able to show specific items to this group while you hide the
rest BUT in the item table only!!
Also you can ably the same in sales order if you change the table name to sales
order and do the same.
