In Production, a BOM and Routes are defined under the item to be
manufactured.When the Production order is created for the item to be
manufactured ,an estimates of the required material is generated.
While starting the production order a BOM journal is generated and as per
the journal lines the available material is issued against the production order.
To receive Finished goods (as purchased item) ,the Finished good stores has to
be attchached in its item warehouse details (Quantity tab) in Purchase order
and Inventory tab.
