  It is possible in Ax2009..
  We are using AIF in AX and Biztalk as Middleware to integrate with  third
party application.

  I assume you are *exporting and importing* huge amount of data .
    Choosing the Framework for data transfer depends on your requirement.
  Since AIF is simple to set up and the Data format is also in XML ,we
continued with AIF .

  I am not sure about .Net connector, but web service is good in security.
  There are pros and cons in all the three.

  User has to consider various factors(like speed,data format support in
third party     application, load balancing,configuration etc) before
deciding about the FW.
