Number

Dear belal,

just trace the Number Serquence and see its Reference. then reset the number
sequence. like presently you are using JUR-108600. now just reset like
JUR-09######. hope when changing the number sequence it will solve your problem.

best regards

  KHALIL UR REHMAN

Subject: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Problem with Inventory Journal Sequence
Number [1 Attachment]

[Attachment(s) from Belal Marzouk included below]
Version: Dynamics AX 4.0 SP2

Problem summary: Repetition of old Journals Sequence Number prevents creating
new records.
Path: Inventory Management -> Journals -> Item transaction -> Transfer
Problem Description: As seen in attached document, the Largest Journal Number
is JUR-108600 but when we create a new journal, Axapta picks JUR-100696 and I
have to keep this form open to be able to enter new journal after JUR-108600.
Current solution: To open a number of Journal Transfer forms equal to number of
Sequence numbers that system repeats and create a new record in each form, Then
enter the desired new journal transfer in another opened Journal Transfer Form.
Required:
A final solution for this problem avoiding having to open a Transfer Journal
form per Number sequence that Axapta thinks it is free but it is already used.
Note: Number Sequence Clean up did not solve this problem.
