Hi Visti,
The dimension group setup considers the dimension wise coverage of the item,
where as the inventory coverage group attached to the item considers the
coverage of the item as a whole. for example Item A has a coverage code
attached to it will consider the requirements of the item A but if the
dimension group attached to it has some dimensions not selected for coverage
plan then those will not be considered while Master planning is run.
Suppose Item A has Site,Warehouse dimensions activated but only site is
considered for coverage planning then the requirement of the item A at multiple
warehouses will not be considered under Master Planning for that you have to
select the warehouse dimension for coverage plan.
if you explain ur scenario further then might be able to give some ideas.

Hi Friends,
I am running master planning in AX 2009. I have set up a dimension group
wherein I dont go for coverage plan by dimension for Warehouse but have
coverage plan by dimension for Site.
Further i set up inventory coverage for Item A -> on the site and warehouse in
the planning setup.
When I run MRP, it generates an order but does not consider the Multiples could
anyone please advice why .
