I think you have a wrong idea of having windows and linux on the pda.
Windows is installed on the ROM, and when you hard reset the pda you get
it, for using linux you have to boot haret with the kernel image and
initrd and the possible mountes filesystems.
So if you want linux you boot haret, and if you want windows you hard
reset the pda and restore the data of the RAM that you previously saved.

Sounds like a good idea,
dump the sprite beta cab + a backup on a spare SD and linux on the opther :)
any more detailed guide on doing that? (not the backup, the linux part)
like place this exe there, place that file there?

But you can always backup your RAM data using the backup app on Winblows
Mobile ;)
This is what i use for not losing my usual apps.
I prefer using that instead of removing win mobile, because perhaps you
need an app that it's only on win mobile.

yes, it still needs hard reset.

that still hardresets the device?
or has that been resolved too?

I've been quietly monitoring the list, hoping to one day put Linux on
my Axim X50v. I'm not going to do it until a full build is available,
and fairly trivial to install (IE: no custom drivers, etc.).
I write today to encourage you to keep up the good work!
Unfortunately, I lack sufficient knowlege to contribute code, but I'll
be in the bleachers cheerin' you on1
Goooooooooo Axim!
Keep up the good work, everybody!
